At Pendle Primary Academy, we aim to provide an environment where children are inspired to learn and achieve to the very best of their ability, with no child left behind. The acronym SHINE encapsulates our five core aims, which underpin every aspect of school life and guide our daily interactions:

• Safe: We prioritise the creation of a secure, supportive, and nurturing environment where every child feels physically and emotionally safe to learn, explore, and express themselves.
• Here: We ensure that every child feels acknowledged and valued within our school community. We believe that active engagement and a sense of belonging are crucial for successful learning.
• Inspired: We strive to ignite a genuine passion for learning and discovery in every child. Our goal is to awaken their curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and motivate them to reach their highest potential.
• Neighbourly: We promote kindness, respect, and empathy among all members of our school. We foster strong, positive relationships, teaching children the importance of cooperation, understanding, and supporting one another.
