 At Pendle Primary Academy we aim to provide an environment where children are inspired to learn and achieve to the very best of their ability, with no child left behind. Our children love coming to school. They feel safe, develop strong friendships, have fun and have the confidence to explore new challenges. Our curriculum is diverse and ensures that every child has a wide range of exciting and unique learning experiences, which they can then draw upon to develop their understanding of the world. We firmly believe that first-hand experiences are essential in providing children with real contexts to talk and write about, and therefore an extensive programme of curricular enrichment is pursued by all staff, with regular trips out and visitors into school, subsidised by the school budget.

Throughout the course of each child’s school journey, we aim to ensure that every individual is well-prepared for the next stage of their education with excellent curricular knowledge and skills and high standards of oracy, as well as being able to use technology safely and confidently to support their learning. From the strong transition work undertaken with local nurseries and high schools, through to working in partnership with parents on all aspects of a child’s education, the dedication and expertise of the teaching and support staff in school ensures that every child will be given every opportunity to succeed and be challenged at every stage of their primary learning journey.
